TIMELINE OF OUR GROWTH

1983 - Where It All Began
Allied Packaging opens its doors in Phoenix, Arizona, distributing secondary packaging such as stretch wrap, tape, and shipping boxes.

1985 - Strong Partnerships
In just 2 years Allied has built strong partnerships with every sector of the packaging industry to provide a full line of packaging products, from printed bags and folding cartons to labels and equipment.

1987 - Closer Collaborations
To enhance customer satisfaction and foster closer collaboration with vendors, Allied recruits its inaugural in-house programmer. This marks the commencement of crafting exclusive business software tailored to our needs, and would evolve to a team of four full-time developers tasked with designing our customized CRM, ERP, and production systems to streamline and optimize all facets of our operations.

1997 - Creation of Graphics
Discovering that our current suppliers could not meet the label quality demands of our customers, Allied enters the manufacturing sector. With equipment in place, a production team was put in place and a graphics department was established.

1999 - Expansion of Capabilities
Allied expands production capabilities with the addition of presses and converting equipment to produce perforated bags on rolls and retail packaging.

2009 - Development of Rapid Roper
Concurrent with increasing production capabilities, Allied develops Rapid Roper – the first in our legacy of innovative sustainable solutions for enhanced load containment, and our first patent is achieved. We have continued to develop solutions in the field of sustainability and containment, earning more than a dozen additional patents between 2009 and 2024.

2010 - Launch of Rapid Bander
Building on the launch of Rapid Roper ventilated film, Allied introduces Rapid Bander — an advanced dual-roll stretch wrapping system engineered to combine full web and split web films in a single application. The result is improved load containment, reduced film consumption, and increased resistance to web breaks. Rapid Bander marks the first major evolution in stretch wrap technology since its introduction in the early 1970s.

2012 - Industry Leader
With the addition of state-of-the-art wide web presses, solventless lamination, and converting equipment for virtually every configuration of bag or pouch, Allied becomes a major force in the flexible packaging industry.

2016 - SQF Certification
Allied achieves SQF (Safe Quality Foods) Level 3 certification for food safety and quality, ensuring safety and quality as a manufacturer of direct food contact packaging. We have maintained that certification scoring in the Excellent category year after year.

2019 - Launch of Rapid Lab
Allied achieves SQF (Safe Quality Foods) Level 3 certification for food safety and quality, ensuring safety and quality as a manufacturer of direct food contact packaging. We have maintained that certification scoring in the Excellent category year after year.

2020 - Design Innovation Finalist
Rapid Bander receives recognition as a finalist for Innovation in Design Optimization from the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, acknowledged for decreasing material usage by upwards of 50% while improving performance.

2021 - Finalist in Design Innovation
Rapid Roper Plus receives recognition as a finalist for Innovation in Design Optimization from the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, acknowledged for achieving an estimated 91% reduction in packaging waste, 72% reduction in packaging material costs, 75% greater load stability, and at least 50% reduction in greenhouse gas generation.

2023 - Nationwide Expansion
Allied’s Rapid Technologies Group expands to nationwide coverage of Account Representatives and Field Service Engineers, offering sustainable containment solutions and no-cost servicing of our equipment in every major manufacturing area.

2024 - Rapid IQ release
Rapid IQ, our cloud-based film monitoring system, is released on a broad scale. Rapid IQ monitors usage, settings, film cost per pallet, and load containment in real time, sending alerts when and where you need them.
